Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana 2020-21 :- Check Eligibility | Application Form

Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana 2020 :- Government of Maharashtra has launched "Swadhar Yojana 2020-21" for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Neo Buddhist category students. Under this scheme, students in class 10th, 12th, degree, diploma and professional courses will get Rs 51,000 / - per year as assistance from the government. This assistance will be given for their accommodation, boarding facilities and other expenses.

The main objective of this scheme is to encourage the poor students of SC and NB communities (SC & NP Communities) by providing them financial assistance. This scheme is a very good initiative by Maharashtra Social Welfare Dept.

All students seeking admission in class 11th / 12th and thereafter in 2020-21 Professional and Non-Professional Courses are eligible for Swadhar Yojana. Even those candidates who have not got admission in government hostel facilities despite being eligible, can also avail this scheme. The Social Welfare Dept of Maharashtra is going to implement this scheme for the welfare of poor and disadvantaged candidates of SC and NB Communities.

Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana 2020-21 (Check Eligibility & Apply Online) -

Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to become eligible for Swadhar Scheme:

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra and belong to SC or Nav Bauddha category notified by the state government.

• The annual income of the family of students from all sources should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.

• The student must have a valid bank account linked to his Aadhaar Number

• For Professional Courses after 10th, students must be admitted to the course and the duration of the course should not be less than 2 years.

• Students should have secured 60% marks in the previous examination.

• To qualify for Physically Challenged / Physically Challenged, at least the applicant should have 40% marks in the final examination.

• Students must be resident within 5 km of District Headquarters or Nashik City.
